Description

This project consisted of the upfit of two existing shell spaces on the second floor of the WFU Downtown Campus. This project transformed the spaces into a state-of-the-art biology lab, chemistry lab, and office areas with a staff breakroom. The lab spaces are equipped with movable lab benches, independent lab air and gas tie-ins, emergency eye wash stations, and emergency showers. Each lab also features a fume hood for hazardous exhausts, with the new exhaust system connected to two rooftop exhaust fans hoisted into place using a crane. This comprehensive renovation provided Wake Downtown Campus with advanced scientific facilities, supporting cutting-edge research and education.
