WhiteStone: Masonic and Eastern Star Home of North Carolina

Blum Construction was a key participant in the master planning, and the construction manager of the multi-phased expansion, of Whitestone Community. This project was a multi-phased expansion, including construction of a new 111,000 SF independent living building, a new 36,500 SF assisted living building, substantial renovations to the existing Care and Wellness Center, and relocation of the community’s picnic shelter, gazebo, community garden, dog park, and steam generation building.

The new independent living building is comprised of 64 apartment units and a parking garage. The assisted living building includes a memory care facility, 24 living units, 12 memory care units, and common areas. Renovations to the Care and Wellness Center included the creation of 25 private rooms, updates to common areas, the wellness facility, and pool locker rooms, and construction of a connection to the assisted living building.
