Description

The Henderson County Veterans Services Office project involved the transformation of a former VFW Post 5206 into a modern facility dedicated to serving veterans. Blum Construction renovated the 11,000-square-foot, 2-story brick building, originally built in 1948, by demolishing the interior down to its existing structure while preserving the historical integrity of the exterior with a new roof, new windows, and aesthetic repairs. The renovation included the installation of a passenger elevator, new offices, gathering spaces, an updated kitchen and bathrooms, new heating and air systems, and a fire suppression system. The upstairs 3,000-square-foot community hall, seating 200 people, will be rented out by Henderson County for private events.
