Description
The Reynolda Gardens Greenhouse and Welcome Center project focused on the renovation and modernization of the historic 1913 greenhouse and head house, which now serves as the new welcome center. The greenhouses underwent extensive restoration, including structural repairs to the foundation and replacement of compromised steel. The project restored the original Lord & Burnham curved edge design with new glass and aluminum framing. Enhancements such as tented glass and a modern shade system were added to improve climate control while maintaining aesthetic beauty. The venting and heating systems were upgraded to a Wadsworth automated controls system. All concrete walkways were replaced with ramps to enhance visitor accessibility.
